Marcin specialises in providing legal services relating to construction projects and disposals, acquisitions and leases of real estate as well as the securing of funding on the banking market by businesses.
He assists clients in the full spectrum of matters concerning construction projects: he advises both on contract-related issues (e.g. with respect to general contractor agreements, agreements for design services or project supervision services) and on administrative procedures connected with obtaining the required permits or amendments to the spatial development plan.
Marcin manages projects relating to the lease of production, logistics and warehouse space (both in multi-tenant facilities and on a built-to-suit basis) as well as the lease of office and retail premises. He advises on the disposals and acquisitions of real estate, whether from private entities or through a tender procedure, e.g. from municipalities or special economic zones. In addition, he conducts due diligence on undeveloped land and developed properties designed for commercial purposes.
In projects connected with securing funding, he assists businesses in the process of concluding bank loan agreements, e.g. for capex, refinancing, and revolving facilities as well as overdrafts, including club-deal agreements based on the Loan Market Association standards, and negotiates their terms with financial institutions. He also deals with all aspects of loan security, including mortgages, registered and financial pledges, statements of submission to enforcement proceedings, assignment, transfer of ownership, and subordination agreements, etc.
He has more than 20 years of professional experience and has worked on investment projects concerning manufacturing, warehouse and logistics, office, and retail facilities for clients in a range of sectors, including the automotive, property development, construction (including building materials production), telecommunications, transport and logistics, HVAC, household appliances, food and feed production, and modern business services (BPO/SSC) sector, as well as shopping centres and retail businesses.
Marcin has been repeatedly recommended in the most important international legal rankings, e.g. Legal 500.
He is the author of numerous articles on the legal aspects of real estate transactions and has delivered many training courses for businesses. He is fluent in English and has managed projects in this language on many occasions. He also has a good command of Spanish and German.
Marcin has been an attorney at law since 2004. He earned his master’s degree in Law at the University of Wroclaw.
In his spare time, he takes photographs and rides a motorcycle.
